Marsden Caterers of Sheffield has sold its KFC franchise worth £17 million to family business Marz run by Raja Adil for an undisclosed amount. The decision to sell the franchise that has been in operation since 1980 and has 14 outlets across the Midlands and South Yorkshire, including restaurants in Mansfield and the UK's largest KFC drive-through restaurant based in Glasshoughton, West Yorkshire, was made after Marsden Caterers Managing Director announced his
retirement.
The winners of the 2008 Franchise Marketing Awards have been announced at a gala dinner held at the Royal Lancaster, London with Cash Converters receiving the Best Overall Marketing Campaign award. The other 10 awards went to HiQ, MRI Network Worldwide, Prontaprint, Select Group, Home Instead Senior Care, NBC Bird & Pest Solutions, Tumble Tots, Gymboree, ReactFast and Bluebird Care, while special commendation was given to Dream Doors and Goodchilds Estate Agency & Lettings. Over 400 people from the franchise industry attended the event in recognition of the award contenders'
investment in marketing and creativity.
