The Australian Monday, August 03, 2009Saudi likely to see 'small' budget deficit in '09Saudi Arabia's 2009 budget could plunge back into a deficit, although smaller than has been projected, mainly due to higher public expenditure and a steep drop in oil prices, Emirates Business has reported. Riyadh-based Jadwa Investments forecasts the shortfall to reach about SR18bn (Dhs17.8bn), far lower than the SR65bn deficit assumed by the government for the 2009 fiscal year.
