An LAPD rep tells us the seized car was approved for release by detectives. So far, there is no word as to whether the vehicle's registered owner has claimed it. Last week, police impounded the car of Jackson's personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray as part of their investigation into the late star's death. Police say Murray has been cooperative with them.

Jake says that even though it played out that way, he isn't sorry that he made the decision to tell Jillian the truth. "My reaction was that it is good that his family reacted that way. Families are supposed to be biased and protect their own," the 31-year-old commercial pilot from Denton, TX tells ET. "I wasn't surprised or hurt. I do care about Wes, and I know he is probably having a little bit of a hard time right now. I didn't do it to hurt him. I did it to help Jillian and I had that discussion with her."
