Scotsman Thursday, September 17, 2009Who Will Get Patrick Swayze's Fortune?Now that Patrick Swayze has passed away, who will get his fortune in earnings and assets? Attorney Herb Nass, author of Wills of the Rich and Famous, weighs in. "Patrick Swayze probably died quite a wealthy man: He was married for 34 years to the same woman, he had no children, he was a very bankable movie star for the '80s and the '90s," says Nass. "I suspect he's worth more than a couple million, probably closer to $10 million." Nass says that Swayze and his wife, Lisa Niemi, established a trust in 2004 and he "definitely had his legal affairs in order." In addition to royalties from his upcoming memoir, music ("She's Like the Wind" from the 'Dirty Dancing' soundtrack was an '80s hit),
movies like 'Ghost' and his final TV series, "The Beast," Swayze also reportedly owned 20,000 acres of land in New Mexico and was fond of collecting horses.

In addition to the $1 million grand prize, Skinner will headline an "America's Got Talent" show at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Set to open in October, the stage production will be hosted by the show's former television host, Jerry Springer.
