Poker pro Marcel Luske, "The Flying Dutchman," has launched the Federation Internationale de poker association (FIDPA) in an effort to standardize the rules of tournament poker worldwide. When a West Virginia resort wanted to hold a poker tournament, there was some concern that the local law enforcement would want to prevent the game from going forward, or that they could expect a raid the day of the event. When Pocahontas County Prosecutor Walt Weiford spoke out about it, however, he said that the Snowshoe Resort event was not going to violate state gambling laws.
