Reality TV: Network renews reality series -- CMT has renewed celeb-themed reality series "Gone Country" for a third season.

Top Design 2 concluded Wednesday with Nathan Williams winning the $100,000 prize, defeating Preston Lee and Ondine Karady. The judges said they appreciated Nathan's growth during the competition and were "always dying to see what [Nathan would] come up with next." They didn't specify a runner-up. On Tuesday, American Idol 7 runner-up David Archuleta's self-titled record will be in stores. One week later, on Nov. 18, winner David Cook's self-titled debut drops. Both are doing press to promote their albums, probably because neither wants to become the next Taylor Hicks and Katharine McPhee. Although Archuleta's single debuted better than Cook's, and a rivalry of sorts is inevitable, neither is worried about the comparison. Danity Kane lost Aubrey O'Day and D. Woods, and now Making the Band 4 might lose the remaining three members for its next season, if a gossip report is to be believed. According to an unsourced report on ForWomenOnline, the remaining three members "will have a 'meeting' with Diddy on camera but that is their extent of their participation right now" as they have "no contract in place to appear in the new series." The site says "the group is said to be extremely fed up with Diddy and living out their lives in front of the MTV cameras." Notice the vague "is said," which essentially attributes the information to conventional wisdom yet no one at all.
