Movie Review | 'District 9': A Harsh Hello for Visitors From SpaceThis smart, swift film takes the axiomatic question of the U.F.O. genre - what are they going to do to us? - and inverts it.
New York Times Friday, August 14, 2009Movie Review | 'The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard': Stimulus Package: Crass for Clunkers"The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard" is a grubby-looking comedy about the art of the sale.

Contact Music Friday, August 14, 2009G.I. Joe: The Rise of CobraIt's clear that Sommers really gets the appeal of G.I. SF Gate Friday, August 14, 2009The Goods: Live Hard * Sell Hard"The Goods" isn't trying for anything more than that, but what it is trying for it more or less succeeds at. Comingsoon.net Friday, August 14, 2009The Time Traveler's WifeAs it stands, "The Time Traveler's Wife" is decent evening's entertainment with an intriguing enough premise and some strong heart tugging to keep the women happy and the men from getting too bored. But it's so safe, so tame. The most entertaining films are the ones that produce genuine drama and conflict. "The Time Traveler's Wife" is content with just the Lifetime channel version of it.
