AFP - Researchers have developed a new class of inhibitors that neutralize toxic bacteria produced by E. Coli, the cause of most food poisoning outbreaks, according to a new study.

The Community health Services Department has been advised by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) that the manufacturer, Savco Food Services Ltd., Point Edward, ON, has voluntarily recalled certain Savco brand sandwiches because these sandwiches were made with roast beef manufactured at Les Salaisons Desco Inc. (EST 501). This roast beef had tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of this recall. These sandwiches have been sold through vending machines in Sarnia and vicinity in Lambton County. read more
