Americas Watchdog created the Mesothelioma Victims Center because a family member was exposed to asbestos while serving in the United States Navy, and died from mesothelioma. One third of all US mesothelioma victims served in the US Navy or the US armed forces, because they were exposed to asbestos. The Mesothelioma Victims Center is blasting the Veterans Administration and VA hospitals for doing a very poor job of diagnosing mesothelioma, for a poor job of treating veterans with mesothelioma and for a poor job providing mesothelioma victims, who served in the US armed forces with VA benefits. According to the Mesothelioma Victims Center, "our loved one would have already been dead by the time he actually received VA benefits. There is no excuse for this, and we want to hear from every US Navy Veteran or US Armed Forces Veteran with mesothelioma, to make sure they are getting the absolute best care and advice.
