MONTREAL, QUEBEC (MARKET WIRE) Canadian Helicopters Income Fund (TSX: CHL.UN) (the "Fund") announces today the implementation of an automatic securities purchase plan (the "Plan") in connection with its normal course issuer bid ("NCIB") announced on December 19, 2007. The Plan was established to provide standard instructions regarding how the Fund's ordinary units (the "Units") are to be purchased under the NCIB. Accordingly, the Fund may purchase its Units under the Plan on any trading day during the NCIB, including during self-imposed trading blackout periods.
