marketing its VDSL services in Heilbronn from mid-August, according to a Vodafone spokesman at IFA talking to onlinekosten.de. The reason for the soft
launch is that VDSL is a pilot project. The operator plans to
market its VDSL service in its other project town Wurzburg within a few weeks. Vodafone also plans to re-
launch IPTV service in the middle of 2010, after ending the former Arcor service in August of this year. A team of experts is currently developing new possibilities that will offer IPTV real added value, according to the spokesman.

One source told the FT that Deutsche Telekom's hopes of selling T-Mobile UK for around EUR 4 billion had been boosted by an upswing in the global economy and asset prices. Sources close to Deutsche Telekom said that significant progress of any deal could be made by mid- to late-October.
