Uncomplaining techies turn in extra hours for freeIf you feel like you're spending more time at your desk than ever, you're not alone. According to a new survey, more and more techies are putting in extra hours. Some 7.3 per cent of techies said they are working between 60 and 75 hours per week - an increase of a third on last year's 3.8 per cent - while 4.8 per cent of IT workers claimed to be notching up 75 hours or more, compared to 2.4 per cent in 2008.

market, and TDC Nordic, in charge of the company's activities in the other Nordic countries and TDC Hosting. The current president of Business Nordic, Jens Munch-Hansen, will continue as president of TDC Nordic and member of the TDC executive board. TDC has also appointed Martin Lippert as president of TDC Business and member of the TDC corporate
management team, effective 1 October. Lippert joins TDC from Mach, where he served as company CEO since 2006. In his new position, Lippert will be in charge of the company's Danish business
market including TDC Netdesign.

market grew by slightly more than 28,000 connections during the second quarter of 2009 to 5.95 million, despite a 3.4 percent drop in PSTN/ISDN connections to 2.289 million on 30 June. This was offset by 2.9 percent growth in VoIP subscriptions to 3.35 million and a 2.5 percent increase in wholesale line rental (WLR) users to 410,000 on 30 June, according to Telecompaper's quarterly update on the Dutch fixed telephony
market. The increase in VoIP subscriptions was driven by cable VoIP showing 3.9 percent quarterly growth, while DSL reported quarterly growth of only 1.4 percent, the lowest growth rate since the introduction of DSL VoIP in 2004. Telecompaper forecasts quarterly growth in the VoIP market of 3.5-4 percent in the remainder of 2009, while the market should finish the year with 3.6 million VoIP subscribers.

network, two people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg News. Sprint Nextel, which owns 51 percent of Clearwire, is also involved in the talks with T-Mobile parent company Deutsche Telekom, the people said. Clearwire said in August it needed USD 2 billion by year-end to complete its own
network expansion, and Deutsche Telekom could provide funding in exchange for access, one of the people said. Deutsche Telekom is unlikely to make an offer for all of Sprint, according to one of the sources. All four companies declined to comment.
