reports. The units LG Telecom, LG Dacom and LG Powercom will hold board meetings on the merger plans shortly. Once the companies agree, LG will apply to the Korea Communications Commission for approval. It is likely that LG Telecom will absorb LG Dacom and Powercom as it is the biggest unit and has the best financial performance. The company hopes to complete the merger before the shareholders meeting in March 2010.

According to Cofetel data, Mexico currently has around 76.5 million mobile phones. However, nearly 40 percent of households do not currently have a mobile phone connection, thus this sector would be a good target
