Hackers this week defaced one of the Web sites of the Large Hadron Collider, but the controversial project's network suffered no permanent damage, a spokesman for CERN said today.

Damon Patrick Toey, one of 11 people arrested in connection with a data breach at TJX, has pleaded guilty to four felony counts related to the case and will be sentenced Dec. 10, according to court documents.
