Australian govt forces Telstra to separate
(Telecompaper) The Australian government plans to split Telstra into a wholesale and retail unit. The communications minister Stephen Conroy announced fundamental reforms to existing telecommunications regulations. The reforms seek to address Telstra's high level of integration, streamline and simplify the competition regime, and to remove regulatory red-tape. The government seeks to structurally separate Telstra on a voluntary and cooperative basis but will impose a strong functional separation framework on the carrier if it chooses not to cooperate. Telstra responded the regulatory reform package with disappointment but said it is willing to discuss options around separation.

SingTel to offer INQ Mini 3G from 19 September
(Telecompaper) Singapore telecommunications (SingTel) will launch the INQ Mini 3G this month. The phone offers a 'carousel-style' menu with one-click access to popular social networking applications. The phone is also customised to offer SingTel users a complete social experience on the move with instant access to AMPed, SingTel's social music service, IM on mobile and inSing.com, SingTel's information portal. The INQ Mini 3G will be available from 19 September.

Feedzilla is a news aggregator which categorizes news stories by topic. It is a platform where webmasters and bloggers can find an unmatched selection of easy to use, automatically updating and professional news widgets for their sites. Feedzilla supports the building of widgets in various formats, as well as allowing the addition of news widgets to different blogging platforms and social networks.

Feedzilla manually aggregates news summaries found in RSS feeds, and redistributes them in either RSS format or as a news widget. Content is collected 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from an ever-growing list of providers.
