The Attar clan of Jajouka is the founding family of the village and keepers of one of the oldest and most unique surviving musical traditions on Earth. The music and secrets, the hypnotic drumming, chanting vocals and soaring pipes of Jajouka have been passed down through generations from father to son, by some accounts for as long as 4000 years, in the Rif Mountains of Morocco. Lauded by critics and fans alike, her album has already sold more than 45,000 copies to date. Soha's songs are playful, switching from English to French to Jamaican patois with the ease of switching a light. Brewed by Noon will celebrate the release of its new CD/DVD titled Being Brewed by Noon at Le Poisson Rouge in New York on July 10. Being Brewed by Noon is a live CD with DVD. The audio disc includes live performances from Brewed by Noon’s spring 2007 tour in New York and throughout Europe.
