SUGAR LAND, TX (MARKET WIRE) researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- As part of its North American Project Database, Industrial Info has identified 27 plants in the Chemical Processing Industry (CPI) that have permanently closed their doors during 2008. These plants equaled approximately 1,600 lost jobs in the industry over the year. During the remainder of this year, at least eight additional CPI plant closures are expected in seven states and provinces.
