Russian Athletics News. The women's hammer throw at the Russian Atheltics Championships was won by Gulfiya Khanafeyeva who achieved the World season fifth of 75.07m. Yelena Konevtsova took the silver with 74.81 and Anna Bulgakova was third (72.62)

Russian Athletics News. Mariya Abakumova won the women's javelin throw at the Russian Atheltics Championships in Kazan, achieving 65.71 m, which is a Russian U23 record. Oksana Gromova placed second with 57.90m. Mariya Yakovenko was third with 57.70
