Cooley breaks ankle on Monday night
Washington Redskins tight end Chris Cooley broke his right ankle on the first play of the second quarter of Monday night's 27-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Redskins coach Jim Zorn said Cooley "will be out for a while now," and added that he wasn't sure whether the player is done for the season. Quarterback Jason Campbell, whose first four throws Monday were to Cooley, said: "Losing Chris is big."

Thomas scores first NFL receiving TD
Washington WR Devin Thomas recorded the first touchdown catch of his career on Monday night against the Eagles. It was only one of two catches he would make in the game until the late stages. He finished with three grabs for 45 yards and the score in the 2nd quarter. Thomas also dropped a pass that hit him square in the hands.

Randle El has best game since Week 1
Redskins WR Antwaan Randle El caught five passes for 39 yards Week 7 on Monday night as the Redskins lost to the Eagles. His long went for 17 yards and he did not score. Randle El also had a rare poor game returning punts as he fumbled one away.

Washington WR Santana Moss finished second on the Redskins in receiving on Monday night during a loss to the Eagles. Moss hauled in six passes from Jason Campbell for 74 yards. He did not score.

Cooley injury opens it up for Davis
Washington TE Fred Davis led the Redskins with eight grabs for 78 yards in easily the best game he’s played as a professional in one-plus years in the league. Davis hauled in an 18-yard grab for his long in the game and led Washington in catches and yards during the Week 7 Monday night loss to the Eagles. Davis was targeted in the end zone with the minutes winding down in the 4th quarter but dropped a tough pass from Jason Campbell. On the next play, Campbell found him for the short TD, his first of the season.

Portis struggles in Washington loss
Washington RB Clinton Portis was limited on Monday night at home against the Eagles due to the Redskins playing from behind almost immediately in the eventual loss. Portis finished with just 14 rush attempts for 43 yards and lacked zip and explosiveness. He did not catch a pass.
