launch a dual mobile and wireless data
service before the end of the year.
the company will offer four devices that can access 3G as well as Wimax networks from December. The terminals are manufactured by Hitachi and are
expected to retail for JPY 20,000 to 30,000, the Nikkei
reports. KDDI will offer different plans with a flat-fee plan expected to cost JPY 5,000 to 6,000 per month. MVNO Japan Communications is expected to offer a similar service this year. To offer the Wimax
service, both companies will lease spectrum from Wimax operator UQ Communications.
