launch significant hardware additions — their respective, upcoming motion-control schemes — in the middle of a console cycle, rather than waiting until the next generations of their systems are ready. It's indicative of a
change to the established pattern of console wars; nowadays, it's more about adding features and gadgets to improve existing products than developing entirely new ones. service come January of next year.Apparently, David Jaffe's opus simply isn't pulling in the punters like it needs to, and PSN support will soon be axed by Sony's overlords."On January 14, 2010 the servers for Calling All Cars will be taken off-line. We would like to thank ya for yar support," read a message delivered to players this week.It is still unclear what Jaffe, and his Eat, Sleep, Play studio are working on next. called IWNet - will do away with dedicated servers.Bowling says that IWNet will make multiplayer games much more accessible for PC players, the matchmaking system allowing players of similar rank and skill to play together."You're completely reliant on IWNet and there is no dedicated server or server list. You rely on IWNet for matchmaking and your games, but you still have your private matches," enthuses Bowling.The
