IGN: SPOGS Racing Review 1.9/10
This is as bad as it gets. SPOGS Racing is ugly, boring, and sports some of the worst racing AI ever. It's an absolute joke that D2C is charging money for this. SPOGS looks like someone's first go at homebrew developing. There is no excuse for this to be on WiiWare, standing alongside the likes of LostWinds and final fantasy: My Life as a King. There are much better racers (even better budget racers) on the Wii. Presentation - 2.0 Graphics - 1.0 Sound - 3.0 Gameplay - 2.0 Lasting Appeal - 2.0 Overall -

Using 3D technology is ''dumb'', says Rein
Epic Games' vice president, Mark Rein, has dismissed Ubisoft's move to develop games with stereoscopic 3D technology - or S-3D - as "dumb". Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, Rein revealed that the Unreal Engine 3 already supported S-3D technology but that he didn't expect it to gain widespread acceptance - saying the need to buy a new screen was too high a barrier to entry. When told about Ubisoft's recent announcement to use S-3D, Rein commented: "That's dumb." "I have a 3D monitor sitting in my office and stereoscopic has worked on Unreal for a long time. In fact one of the guys pushing stereoscopic sent me the monitor, he said 'Your games are great on these monitors,' so he sent me one."

Consoles: Is the only difference between them the logo on the side?
Jolt.co.uk writes "Time was, the type of hardware you were playing on would determine the types of games you were able to play. Even in the last generation, publishers would directly target consoles with specific series, distinguishing the three formats for us, the mere consumers. Now, exclusives are much harder to come by. In fact, the day has now come when the likes of Sony and Microsoft talk up exclusive features, like extra missions or in-game videos, rather than exclusive games themselves. The only fully-exclusive titles seem to come from either Sony or Microsoft themselves, on the whole.

All Star Cheer Squad ''better than DDR''
THQ's All Star Cheer Squad looks to follow Namco Bandai's We Ski/Family Ski as one of the first third party Wii Balance Board-controlled games on the nintendo wii. IGN recently caught up with developer Gorilla Games to see how its development was coming along, and it seems like they were pleasantly surprised, even calling it better than DDR's efforts on Wii.

Tales Series Continues on Wii - Namco planning new ''mothership'' title
IGN writes: "Namco's Tales series appears to be on a collision course with one console in particular: the Wii. At a press conference held in Tokyo on Monday, Tales series manager Makoto Yoshizumi revealed that the firm is now developing a new Tales game for the Wii. The new game will be the main title for the series for fiscal 2009. Wii isn't new to Tales, of course, with Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World having just hit the system in Japan a couple of weeks back. Unlike that sequel, though, the new game will be comparable to a Tales of Destiny or Tales of Fantasia in terms of standing. As Yoshizumi said, it will be a "mothership" title in the series."
