DDOS played its role in Twitter/Facebook downtime
Twitter had a terrible day and it wasn't just Twitter, but other social services including Facebook suffered the same. Though the downtime that Facebook went through wasn't as prolonged it did affect quite a lot. Reports held a massive DDOS attack responsible for the downtime and both Facebook and Twitter are trying to figure out the real cause behind this. Richrelevance grabs $12.5 Million in funding, wont give details
Online shopping assistant Richrelevance that helps shoppers with recommendations for products has raised $12.5 Million in funding. We aren't sure if this is a new round of funding or a continuation of a previous round and the funds come in after it had secured $9 Million in its third round last year. Along with the round of funding, the firm has also increased its workforce and plans to make more improvements as well as expansion in business.
