Letters: Another Satyam?
The events at retailer Subhiksha are getting more intriguing by the day. Why have the ICICI-nominated directors resigned from the Board and who is really in charge of the company now? If the directors think there has been some fraud, why didnt they do something about it when they were on the Board? And how can it be possible that Subhiksha did not even have the money to pay to the security guards, as a result of which its stores got vandalised? Even the freshest rookie knows that if you dont have the money to buy stock for all the stores, the best thing to do is to close down some of them and transfer the stock to the operating ones. It does look as if the management is trying to cover something up.

Hannity produces Armageddon like video presentation of the Stimulus bill: Socialism you can believe in. The new America - Crooks Liars
(h/t Heather) Sean Hannity went off the deep end with this video montage that portrays the end of America as we know it. He doesn't mention that we're in the aftermath of the Bush years that have left the country and President Obama no choice but to act swiftly to try and turn the tide of devastation in their wake. I haven't been able to watch Hannity's show since Alan Colmes left. I tried a few times, but I couldn't make it. His Sunday shows called Hannity's America were bad enough. And he's destroying the meaning of the word "America." In the end it's just the typical model of Konservatism Unleashed! Hannity: Day number twenty nine of Socialism you can believe in. The new America...A liberal hijacking of the American way of life. This ...

Business Success - Follow This Formula in Your Business and You`ll Have to Try Hard Not to Succeed
Here's the simplest formula for business success that I've ever seen: Focus + Strategy + Structure + Systems + Support Skills + Strengths (vs. Blockers) + Action + Accountability + Follow-through = Extraordinary Results For those of you who have heard me speak or worked with me, you know this is my business success mantra. Apply this formula to the four critical areas of your business-Leadership and Team, Marketing, Operations, and Deliverables-and you will have to work hard not to succeed. But there's a catch. Success is not a linear straightforward process. One plus one doesn't always equal two. (In fact, one and one actually makes 11 if you put them side-by-side). The truth is, in spite of your best efforts, success doesn't always follow your timeline. There is an invisible component that is far more important than any structure or strategy to the success of your business (and in life too, as a matter of fact.) It's your intention. Your mindset. Your expectations. Find out w

Selling With Operational Excellence
The recession is ahead of our thinking about how to sell around it. Our first response is a tried and true strategy that is not right for all occasions. People will disagree with me, but so far we've seen a steady stream of one idea -- staying close to the customer and attending to the customer experience. There is nothing wrong with this customer-centricity and a lot to be admired.
