Japan`s Toshiba to sell carbon credits: report
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- In the first such move by a Japanese manufacturer, Toshiba Corp. will begin selling carbon credits to Japanese and overseas firms by taking on overseas projects that cut greenhouse gas emissions, the Nikkei newspaper reported on its Web site Sunday local time, citing unidentified company sources. Under the plan, Toshiba, in partnership with a Vietnamese food company, will collect methane gas from wastewater at Vietnamese food plants, the report said.
