Ben Bernanke honored with highway interchange: report NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- South Carolina has honored hometown boy and Federal Reserve chief Ben Bernanke, naming an interchange on Interstate 95 after the bearded economist on Saturday, the Associated Press reported. Bernanke hails from the rural community of Dillon, the first town travelers heading south find after they enter the state, the report said. Bernanke took over the Federal Reserve in 2006. MarketWatch.comJapan`s Toshiba to sell carbon credits: report NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- In the first such move by a Japanese manufacturer, Toshiba Corp. will begin selling carbon credits to Japanese and overseas firms by taking on overseas projects that cut greenhouse gas emissions, the Nikkei newspaper reported on its Web site Sunday local time, citing unidentified company sources. Under the plan, Toshiba, in partnership with a Vietnamese food company, will collect methane gas from wastewater at Vietnamese food plants, the report said.
