Halliburton offering $2 billion in senior notes
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Halliburton Co. said late Tuesday it will offer $2 billion in senior notes to generate capital for general corporate purposes. The notes will be issued in two tranches: one for $1 billion of 10 1/2-year notes bearing interest at an annual fixed rate of 6.15%, and the other for $1 billion of 30 1/2-year notes bearing interest at an annual fixed rate of 7.45%. Moody`s cuts ratings of Las Vegas Sands, MGM Mirage
SAN FRANCSICO (MarketWatch) -- Moody's Investors Service cuts its ratings of Las Vegas Sands Corp. and MGM Mirage as gaming revenues in Las Vegas continue to deteriorate. Moody's lowered its probability of default and corporate family ratings of Las Vegas Sands to B3 from B2. Also, the agency cut MGM Mirage's probability of default rating to Caa2 from Caa1 and its corporate family rating to Caa1 from B3.
