Jennifer Maloney, one of the producers of the Broadway hit, Spring Awakening, presents the NYC premiere concert of NATEKid. NATEKid, along with an ensemble of prodigious musicians, will be premiering a new genre of music, a fusion of hip-hop and jazz at NYC's legendary club The Cutting Room located at 19 W. 24th St. (between Broadway & 6th Avenue) on April 2, 2008 promptly at 7:30pm.

And now, Chinese pianist Lang Lang, whom Philadelphia music lovers watched growing up before their very ears at the Curtis Institute of music, has made a collaborative recording with Andrea Bocelli. Reggae musician Mikey Dread died Saturday, March 15th 2008 at 4:30 pm EST in Connecticut. Michael Campbell better known as Mikey Dread, was a Jamaican singer, producer, and broadcaster. Mikey Dread was born in 1954 in Port Antonio, Jamaica. From an early age, Campbell showed a natural aptitude for engineering and electronics. After he finished college, he partnered with Edi Fitzroy, an accountant for JBC. Edi Fitzroy got Campbell a job as an engineer with the Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation (JBC). Campbell wasn't impressed that the JBC's playlists mainly consisted of bland, foreign pop music at a time when some of the most potent reggae was being recorded in Jamaica.
