'Truancy' is a dystopian novel written by Isamu Fukui, in which teachers and a city's totalitarian mayor indoctrinate students to mindlessly obey, as school-sanctioned bullies keep them in line with intimidation and violence. It's the author's first book — Fukui is himself still in high school, and wrote the novel when he was 15.

Incest, murder, and suicide take over an upper-crust family in this drama from Tom Kalin (SWOON). Julianne Moore stars as Barbara Daly Baekeland, a woman whose middle-class origins put her constantly at odds with her rich husband (Stephen Dillane). But the arrival of their son causes even more strife, as the boy grows ever closer to his mother and farther from his father. SAVAGE GRACE is based on a true story and the book by Natalie Robins and Steven M.L. Aronson.
