Casino Complaint Wingows Assets are bought by Walker pokerLook like Wingows is gone, along with my account in it. I've been expecting it for a while now, and got my account down to under $50. Another online poker room failure, just more bad news, it seems. Here is the press relase: http://www.walkerpoker.com/news/pr3424.htmlOnline poker room Walker poker takes over Wingows gaming assets Walker poker, operated by Colkom Inc. announced today, 06/12/2008 that it is taking over the assets of Wingows gaming , including Wingows poker player's database. 2008 WSOP Event 23 Winner Blair HinkleThe exciting bit with the World Series of poker is that a lot of events, well most events, have a final table that is like a roller coaster. Chip leaders often are not chip leaders for very long, and occasionally an unknown underdog will rise up and beat the stuffing out of people with household names and an entire wing of their home dedicated to trophies and bracelets. Event #23 was not one of these events. The final table had all the suspense and drama of a battle hardened Roman Legion getting its swords up against a group of Shriners. launchpoker.com Tuesday, June 17, 2008
2008 WSOP Event 24 Winner Max PescatoriMax 'The Italian Pirate' Pescatori shivers the timbers of his final table opponents on the way to his second World Series of poker bracelet. This final table was no cake walk for the Milan native. He faced some pretty stiff competition on his way to this championship. Not only was he facing proven cash game sharks like Minh Ly, there was a five time bracelet winner in the mix: Allen Cunningham. Eventually they all wound up walking the plank, and Max was the only one left at the helm. launchpoker.com Tuesday, June 17, 2008
2008 WSOP Event 21 Winner Scott SeiverThe final table of Event #21 was probably over before the end of play on Day 2: most of the players simply didn't know it was already in the bag for Scott Seiver. Earlier this year he was teased with a final table possibility when he finished 13th during a previous event during the World Series of poker. This time he would not be denied. On the second day of play he used a late surge of aggression and good fortune to gather up chips like a demented squirrel rounding up enough nuts to get the tiny mammal through the next Ice Age. launchpoker.com Tuesday, June 17, 2008
I L-O-V-E this Game!We all see it on TV and read about it regularly in magazines. If poker is a virus then I’m infected. I just love this game! As frustrating and mind boggling as poker can be at times it is my muse of choice more often than not. What else can you do to satiate your competitive juices and actually earn a nice piece of money in the process?Poker, of course!I happen to be a reformed golfer that used to play four rounds a week plus hit the practice range. I shot a respectable 17 handicap but I never made a dime playing golf. I never gambled on the course. poker is different. I consider it a sport more so than gambling but that is entirely up to the individual. The thing I enjoy the most about the game of poker and playing in poker tournaments is the competition. The money is a by product of being a consistently good player I suppose.read more 777.com Tuesday, June 17, 2008
Barry Greenstein Wins WSOP BraceletBarry Greenstein, known as the Robin Hood of poker thanks to his very giving nature, dominated a 453 player field to win Event #26, the $1,500 Razz event. Razz is a game that many poker players avoid because of the tricky strategy, but it is a game at which Greenstein excels. He picked up over $150k with his victory which, if he stays true to his habits of the past, is likely on its way to be donated to some worthy cause... launchpoker.com Tuesday, June 17, 2008
