WSOP Day 25 - Seniors Ruled the DayThis was a day dominated by the senior members of the poker playing world. The $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em World Championship was the only event starting on Day 25 of the 2008 WSOP, and it was a packed house with players seated in the Amazon Room, the excess area of the Brasilia Room, and even a few extra tables near Buzio's restaurant down the hall at the casino entrance. Nothing was going to stop this bunch from playing. read more in pokerworks.com Pokerworks.com Tuesday, June 24, 2008
2008 WSOP Event #38 RecapUntil 1992, Pot-Limit Hold'em was not an event offered on the WSOP schedule, but this year there were three. This shows how popular Pot-Limit Hold'em events have become over the last 16 years. This is evident by the line-up of famous faces in the poker world that enter this event like past winners: John Bonetti, T.J. Cloutier, Jay Heimowitz, Phil Hellmuth, David 'Devilfish' Ulliott, Daniel Negreanu, Layne Flack, Steve Zolotow, Mickey Appleman, and Johnny Chan. Despite the big guns that play this event every year, no player has ever won two gold bracelets in read more in pokerworks.com Pokerworks.com Tuesday, June 24, 2008
Make Money and learn to be a Better Player at Bodog PokerIt's no well-kept secret that there are some poker rooms out there just wanting to get as many players aspossible at their tables so they can cash in on them. However, very few rooms out there actually take the time (and money) to set up any sort of learning area for their newer players. read more in pokerworks.com Pokerworks.com Tuesday, June 24, 2008
Davidi Kitai Wins Event 38The last Pot Limit Omaha event held at the 39th World Series of poker goes to Davidi Kitai, just narrowly avoiding yet another pro player taking down a bracelet. More than 600 players paid their $2k to play in the event, which built a prize pool of over a million dollars... launchpoker.com Tuesday, June 24, 2008
2008 WSOP Forecast, Day Twenty Six: Pot Limit Omaha High Low Split 8 or BetterToday is Day 26 of the 39th annual World Series of poker, cranking down the days to the Main Event in a couple of weeks, and there is only one event kicking off today: Event 43 Pot Limit Omaha High-Low Split 8 or Better. Wait, didn't David Benyamine just win this event? Close, but no. Benyamine won the World Championship event with the $10k buy in just a day or so ago - and it was Omaha High Low Split 8 or Better, but this is a different event. The fact they have this event along with the other tells us something about the state of poker in general, and the WSOP in particular. launchpoker.com Tuesday, June 24, 2008
