While there would be money on the line for the final 56 players, no one entered this one thinking the prize pool would be enormous; in fact, it was $744,560, just over a quarter of a million dollars. The government's stance is based on the idea that if they put together players at the state run site, it would guarantee larger prize pools and keep players from playing at online places that are 'less socially responsible.' While the decision sounds final it will be up for review in 18 months and could be overturned.
