Phil Hellmuth Misses 12th WSOP Victory Opportunity
The world leader in World Series of Poker bracelets made a run at pulling even further ahead of his closest competitors but came up short by two spots. Phil Hellmuth, owner of 11 WSOP bracelets, nearly got his 12th during Day Three of Event 51, $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. Instead he managed a nice third place position, and $93k that likely means little to the poker superstar in comparison to the prestige another WSOP bracelet would have meant...

Aussies Say No Thanks to Poker Playing Mike Tyson
The former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson has plans on participating in the $10 million Aussie Millions Poker Championships at the start of next year, and victims of violent crimes are calling for the Australian Government to step in and say no. The 42 year old Tyson is a convicted rapist, the biggest reason why people like Crime Victims Support Association president Noel McNamara want to prevent Tyson from getting a visa. Tyson would have to pass a character test to get a visa and his prior jail terms could make it a moot point, but he could appeal directly to the minister.Related Articles:Online poker player sues poker roomHouse Committee to look at poker bill...

The 2008 World Series Of Poker Official Cluster**** - Day 34 Of The WSOP
Last year, I missed the Ante Up For Africa event because it was one of the few days off I had. This year, I wanted to see it and made it a priority to come to. Wow, I had no idea what I was in for. Now I know why celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears go a little crazy with all the paparazzi chasing them around. It was/is a madhouse here. Throw in a Ben Affleck, Adam Sandler, and Matt Damon and all of a sudden 200 members of the media show up. Whatever you do, don't get in their way either, because they will run your ass over to get a shot of the celebrity they are after. read more in pokerworks.com
