Under the new leadership of Artistic Director Henry Godinez and Managing Director Barbara Butts, the Theatre and Interpretation Center (TIC) at Northwestern University will kick off its 28th season in October with the Tony Award-winning musical 'Sweeney Todd' by Hugh Wheeler and Stephen Sondheim.

Once again, viewers have selected a singer as the winner of America's Got Talent. Opera singer, insurance salesperson, and Missourian Neal E. Boyd won the $1 million prize and Las Vegas show at the MGM Grand. His win seems rather reminiscent of cell phone salesperson and opera singer Paul Potts, who won the first season of Britain's Got Talent last summer.In the U.S., piano playing singer Eli Mattson came in second place, although he was only separated from Boyd by half of a percent of the five million viewer votes. Of the three other finalists, Queen Emily was eliminated first, followed by Donald Braswell, and finally apparent favorites Nuttin' But Stringz.The finale was watched by 12.55 million people, which is down from the 13.9 million who watched last year.
