Tom Cruise tells the women of "The View" that the Scientology rumors surrounding the death of John Travolta and Kelly Preston's son, Jett, are simply "not true." Barbara Walters asks Cruise to address the "criticism" that in the religion of Scientology, members do not take medication or go to the hospital. "That's just not true," the 'Valkyrie' star says. "It's actually the opposite." Cruise is a close friend to Travolta and both men are prominent members of the Church of Scientology. Jett, 16, died following a seizure while vacationing with his family at the Old Bahama Bay Resort.

Goodspeed Musicals is holding local Equity auditions for its 2009 season, on Saturday, February 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, February 8, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. in East Haddam, Conn. Goodspeed is seeking adult male and female actors and boys, ages 10 - 12. Non-union performers will be seen as appointments permit.

Jackie Hickey was one of the 10 women who got their walking papers on the first episode of "The Bachelor," which aired last Monday. She talks to ET about what she would change if she could have a do-over."I probably would not have so much bubbly," the 26-year-old wedding coordinator from Dallas, TX tells ET. "I mean it's pretty obvious that I had quite a few cocktails that evening, which isn't like me. [It was] nervous excitement. [I was] a little scared and intimidated."Jackie says that in her job, she sees everybody's happy ending and she really wanted to see if the dating show would be her avenue to find that for herself.

A year after NBC's relaunch of American Gladiators found success and then sputtered out, ABC will revive another television franchise: Superstars, which first aired in the 1970s as part of ABC's Wide World of Sports.Not to be confused with NBC's new Superstar Dancers of the World, ABC's six-episode series will two-person teams consisting of a pro athlete and celebrity competing in various sporting events, with one being eliminated every week. The series will air this summer after the NBA finals.Production company Juma Entertainment president Bob Horowitz told Variety that, after shopping the series to networks in the fall, they found that 'ABC was the most aggressive, and they were big on getting the authenticity of the original 'Superstars' format.
