La Jolla Playhouse's Artistic director Christopher Ashley has announced the six productions in the 2009/2010 season.'So much of the joy of running a theatre comes from the ability to invite world-class artists into your home - and allowing them to make it their home as well,' says Ashley. The New Jersey Repertory Company, located at 179 Broadway in Long Branch, is proud to present the National New Play Network world premiere of Zayd Dohrn's SICK, February 12 through March 15. SICK is an off-beat comedy about one family's attempts to keep out the sickness of the world by isolating themselves in a house where all the windows are covered with plastic, where air-purifiers hum constantly, and where visitors are unwelcome. Directed by Benjamin Endsley Klein, SICK stars Meredith Napolitano, Rusty Ross, Kevin Sebastian, Jim Shankman, Liz Zazzi. The Artistic Home's 2008/2009 season continues its exploration of the artist in society with the rarely produced Modigliani by Dennis McIntyre. The second production in Artistic Home's Mainstage series, Modigliani will be directed by Artistic director Kathy Scambiatterra and will feature Artistic Home co-founder and Associate director, John Mossman in the title role. The Actors Company Theatre/TACT (Scott Alan Evans, Cynthia Harris and Simon Jones, C0-Artistic Directors), the critically-acclaimed company dedicated to presenting neglected or rarely produced plays of literary merit, has announced the complete cast for Incident at Vichy, Arthur Miller's searing examination of the Holocaust. Originally produced in 1964 as a commission for the new Lincoln Center Theatre Company (directed by Harold Clurman, starring Joseph Wiseman, David Wayne and Hal Holbrook), it was last seen in New York over 25 years ago in a 1981 production by The Jewish Repertory Theatre.
