Film News: 'Uninvited,' 'Taken' among newcomers -- Breaking a longstanding taboo, Fox is releasing male-driven pic "Taken" on Super Bowl weekend in the hopes of tackling enough business on Friday and Saturday.

While I can't imagine ?Amusement? performing well at theaters, it does provide a decently creepy low-key night for fright fans.

Actor and screenwriter Christopher Guest is probably best known for his role as Nigel Tufnel in the 1984 mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap, but he's always been a serious musician. For the first time in his career, Guest is sharing that side of his personality. He and several longtime friends calling themselves The Beyman Bros have just released their first CD, Memories of Summer as a Child.

A seasoned alt-rocker and coveted producer, Walker has worked with such chart-topping acts as Katy Perry, Tommy Lee and Pink. Last year, he also found time to release an album of his own, Sycamore Meadows. Named for the street where California wildfires claimed his home, the record finds Walker using his pop production experience to brighten his indie-rock sensibilities.

Contrary to recent reports, ET confirms that Patrick Swayze is continuing his medical treatments."The Beast" actor announced earlier last year that he was diagnosed with stage-four pancreatic cancer. ET also confirmed last week that Swayze plans to write a memoir with his wife Lisa Swayze. Details about the memoir or a release date are not yet known.

Tonight at 8 p.m. ET, HBO debuts The Trials of Ted Haggard, Alexandra Pelosi's documentary that explores the former National Association of Evangelicals president and former minister's current life. Now, he's a traveling insurance salesman; last year, he was fired and/or resigned from his posts after having an affair with a male prostitute and buying meth, which were ironic considering his anti-gay rhetoric. HBO calls the 41-minute documentary 'an intimate look at the life and hard times of the ex-minister.'Haggard has been all over the media promoting the film, on Oprah yesterday and Larry King tonight, and recently, another man that Haggard allegedly had an affair with has come forward. Earlier this month, Haggard told TV critics in Los Angeles, 'Now that we've got the freedom to answer questions, we want to answer questions,' and Pelosi said that he 'had an agreement with the church that he would not tell his story, and he was recently released from that.'
