Broadwayworld.comDJ AM (Adam Goldstein) Found Dead in NYC Apartment On Friday, musician 'DJ Adam' Goldstein was found dead in his New York City apartment. According to AP reports, when friends hadn't heard from him, officers responded and found the 36-year-old dead. On the scene, they also spotted a crack pipe and prescription pills. In January of 2008, Adam talked openly and courageously about his failed suicide attempt. In September of that same year, he and Blink 182 frontman Travis Barker survived a major plane crash and were both severely burned. They each spoke out about feeling lucky to be alive. Interestingly, it was just days ago that DJ AM posted these lyrics from Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five on his Twitter page: 'New York, New York.
