Two groundbreaking articles, a study examining women's experiences after infertility and a review of chronic fatigue syndrome in childbearing women, were published in the July/August 2008 issue of the Journal of Midwifery & Women's Health. Women's Lived Experience of Infertility after Unsuccessful Medical Intervention is authored by M. Patrice McCarthy, RN, CNS, PhD.

Dr. William DeFoor, et al., retrospectively reviewed all children who presented with urolithiasis at a single pediatric institution between 1999 and 2006. They wanted to determine which children were at greatest risk for recurrent stone formation. Their inclusion criteria were presumed calcium based renal ureteral stone, based on stone analysis of radiographic imaging with at least one 24-hour urinary metabolic evaluation conducted after initial diagnosis.

A lawmaker will seek a broad review of exports to Iran to see whether exemptions to U.S. trade sanctions are being abused. Cigarettes, bull semen and other goods have gone Iran's way as exports grew during President Bush's time in office.Rep. David Scott, vice chairman of the House subcommittee on terrorism, nonproliferation and trade, said Friday that he will press for a congressional review of sanctions enforcement following an Associated Press investigation that found U.S. exports to Iran rose from about $8 million in 2001, Bush's first year in office, to nearly $150 million last year.
