Medline Signs Prime Vendor Agreement With Prime Healthcare Services
MUNDELEIN, IL--(Marketwire - March 17, 2009) - Prime Healthcare Services, an acute carehospital management company based in Southern California, and MedlineIndustries, Inc. have signed a major cost management agreement in whichMedline will serve as the group's prime vendor.Prime Healthcare owns and operates 13 acute care hospitals in SouthernCalifornia located in San Bernardino, San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange Countyand Shasta County.The five-year agreement will focus on driving savings for PrimeHealthcare's hospitals on a multitude of medical and surgical products andservices, including distribution of Medline and other national brandproducts. Some of the main products in the agreement include surgicalprocedure trays (disposable medical components for a single surgicalprocedure contained in one convenient kit), surgical gowns and gloves, examgloves, and briefs and underpads, to name a few.
