Any company selling products that addict and eventually kill 400,000 customers annually might well be reluctant to point out the health dangers. So the federal courts should be mighty skeptical when Big Tobacco screams about its First Amendment rights to keep peddling cigarettes without the oversize health warning labels ordered by Congress this year. . . . For decades, tobacco firms hid the devastating health risks of smoking, made bogus safety claims, and pitched smoking to teens. Chinese Schools Report More Swine Flu Cases
In China, where schools started their autumn term a week ago, the authorities yesterday confirmed 15 more students have contracted the A/H1N1 swine flu virus. According to state news agency Xinhua, all 15 patients, who are studying at the Shuikou Township Middle School in Qionglai City and Chengdu University of Technology in Chengdu, southwest Sichuan Province, are in a stable condition.

Large Thighs - Protection Against Heart Disease?
A new study of 3,000 people has claimed men and women with thighs over 60cm (23.6in) in circumference have a lower risk of heart disease and early death. People with narrow thighs may not have enough muscle mass to use insulin properly, raising the risk of diabetes and, in turn, heart disease, the researchers say.
