CNNC To Begin Construction Of Hainan Nuclear Power Plant By 2009 China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) is looking to commence construction of Hainan nuclear power plant by the end of 2009, China Daily reported. The Hainan which project is situated in the Changjiang county is designed to have two 650 MW reactors. The power plant will use second-generation nuclear technology. CNNC also expects to commence construction of the second phase of Tianwan nuclear power project by 2010.
