An Absurd Argument- Gays and Lesbians Shouldn`t Be Allowed To Adopt Due To Health Concerns The differences over homosexuality and homosexual behaviors come down, primarily, to religious belief.However, within American culture, a purely religious argument is frowned upon. After all, we are taught that we are suppose to reject religious argument because it blurs the line between Church and State as enshrined in the First Amendment. It means that some of the arguments against homosexuality and homosexual rights often drop into the absurd. A post by Peter Sprigg on the Family Research Council blog falls into the absurd. His attack on the rationale behind Judge Lederman's decision that the Florida ban on gay and lesbian adoption cited among its most absurd reasons for rejecting her argument that gays and lesbians are far less healthy than straight people. He bases this upon, well, a list he has found on an LGBTI site stating the health issues that gays and lesbians should bring up with their doctors.
