Since 1972, AIBS has presented the Distinguished Scientist Award annually to individuals who have made significant scientific contributions to the biological sciences, particularly in the fields of integrative and organismal biology. The award is presented at the AIBS Annual Meeting. The 2009 Annual Meeting was recently held in Arlington, Va.
