A Connecticut diocese has appealed to the United States Supreme Court to demand that papers relating to several abuse cases remain sealed. The Connecticut Supreme Court ordered that these documents be released, especially in relation to cases involving New York Cardinal Edward Egan. The roughly twelve thousand documents have been sealed since the case against Cardinal Egan was settled in 2001...In recent years, the Vatican has blamed homosexuals in the priesthood for the sexual abuse of various children over the years. Pope Benedict has specifically blamed the Catholic monastic orders for lax standards regarding allowing gay men through their seminaries.

Clinton Urges India Toward Clean Energy
The Obama administration is trying to persuade India to help tackle climate change. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton urged development experts recently to help come up with ideas on projects that could encourage the Indians to turn to clean energy in a way that won't limit its economic growth.
