He met with Dallas Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle on Monday, and it was decided he would be deactivated for more recovery time.'I’m a little down, but I’m not where I need to be,' said Stackhouse, who did not make the trip to San Antonio for tonight’s game. 'I don’t want to take minutes away from guys who deserve to be out there at this point.'It’s hard, and it put [Carlisle] in a tough position, too. I know he wants to try to get me back, at the same time, where is the balance? We need to win games. It's not a topic Paul Konerko dwells on -- maybe because, in the back of his mind, he doesn't like how the end game could play out. After earning 10-and-5 status last year -- 10 major-league seasons and at least five with the same club -- Konerko knows that if push comes to shove with the white sox come July, he can at least push back. Brendan Jones, the last man to qualify for the 64-man Accenture Match Play Championship field this week in Arizona, was home with his family in Australia when he heard Tiger Woods' announcement that he was 'ready to play again' since undergoing season-ending surgery in June.
