Douglas-Roberts sits with stomach bug
Nets rookie Chris Douglas-Roberts sat out the second half of Sunday's game against the Cavaliers with a stomach virus. He is questionable for the second leg of the home and home series against the Cavaliers at Cleveland. The virus came a day after his best NBA performance when he capped a career-high 18-point performance with a game-clinching 3-pointer at the end of Friday's game against the Heat.

Parros converts rebound for goal
Ducks RW George Parros scored a goal and finished at plus-1 during Sunday's game against the Coyotes. Parros made it 2-0 at 18:11 of the first, converting a rebound from a sharp angle to the right of the net after Ilya Bryzgalov made a leg save on Erik Christensen's wrist shot from the left circle. It was his first score since Jan. 31.

Ryan sets new Ducks` rookie mark
Bobby Ryan's assist on Corey Perry's goal Sunday against the Coyotes gave him 46 points, breaking the Ducks' rookie record set by Dustin Penner during the Stanley Cup championship season of 2006-07. Ryan, who didn't make his season debut until Nov. 16, is only three points behind Chicago's Kris Versteeg for the NHL rookie lead despite playing in 14 fewer games.

Flutey plays new tune to get England moving
It might have been another Seb Coe moment - you know, the one at the Moscow Olympics back in 1980 when the future lord was presented with his silver medal after finishing second to Steve Ovett in the 800m. 'It was as though he was receiving a turd,' Clive James memorably observed of Coe's demeanour. As it happened, when Steve Borthwick came to get his muddied mitts on the Calcutta Cup, the Crackerjack Pencil of prizegiving day in the Six Nations Championship, the big Cumbrian managed to smile and savour the moment.

O`Gara stands unbowed to join the Irish immortals
How do we begin to measure it, this momentous achievement for Irish rugby? History is the most obvious yardstick - 61 years is a heck of a long stretch between Grand Slams - but it is also the most misleading. As Declan Kidney, the head coach of the new champions, was at pains to point out, it is now dangerously easy to belittle the efforts of generations who travelled this road without quite reaching the end, and to forget how close his own team came to failure. Who would be speaking of history's fulfilment had the last Welsh kick of this wonderful Six Nations finale sailed on the lightest of spring breezes for another 61 inches?

Ian Wood: A new swing but the same old story
