Rangers notes: Davis trying to be confident
By ANTHONY ANDRO Chris Davis wasn’t in the starting lineup Sunday and the first baseman understood why.Davis came into the game hitting just .158 with two home runs and three RBI. He may have found a spark, though, as he was called on to pinch hit and delivered a RBI single to tie the game 5-5 in the eighth inning.Davis, who has a major-league high 18 strikeouts, has struggled to find his timing. 'This is something I’ve been good at my whole life and I know it’s there and I just can’t get to it,' Davis said. 'It’s not frustrating to the point where I’m doubting myself or I don’t have any confidence. It’s almost like more of a motivation thing, because I’m kicking myself because I know I can do it.'Davis said he wasn’t happy with his Saturday performance because he brought nothing to the plate against Zack Greinke. He struck out looking to end the game with a runner on third base.'There’s no one thing I can work on,' Dav

Rain Delay Theater: You Caption The Photo
More photos » by Paul Beaty - AP Browse more photos » Since there's no game tonight, Ted Lilly gets to stay home and rest up (I presume Lou will just push everyone back and Lilly will start Tuesday night against the Reds). I'm sure all of you remember Lilly knocking over Yadier Molina last September 10 in St. Louis, a critical game in the pennant race that the Cubs wound up winning 4-2. My caption for this photo is: 'You better play nice, Albert,' Geo told Pujols, 'or Ted will knock you over, too!' Make up your own caption and leave it in the comments. No prizes, just some rainy day fun.
