Granderson`s great catch still gets rave reviews
A day after Curtis Granderson went over the wall to rob him of a game-winning homer, Grady Sizemore was still a bit stunned. 'I just couldn't believe it. I was devastated,' said Sizemore, whose long drive to center with a man on would have beaten the Tigers and Justin Verlander on Friday night had Granderson not leapt high to pull it back in the bottom of the ninth. Detroit ended up beating the Cleveland Indians 1-0.

Danks, Jenks Deliver Message (a week late)
More photos » by Paul Beaty - AP Don't mess with Q! Browse more photos » John Danks had a career-high 10 strikeouts against his former club, but it was Bobby Jenks who finally delivered the 'message' pitch. The White Sox have been getting knocked down (and out) by pitches all season long, and the Rangers have been one of the main offenders. Including Saturday's game they've hit Paul Konerko (twice), Carlos Quentin (probably doesn't count), Chris Getz, Jermaine Dye and Josh Fields. The latter two required a few days off as a result. So when Ian Kinsler came up with two out and nobody on in the ninth, Jenks took it upon himself to send a message, and some mixed signals. 'It was not intentional. Yeah, I wanted to go in and send a message, and I think that message was sent. Our guys have been hit a lot this series. With a one-run lead, I didn't want to put anyone on base. I just wanted to say, 'Hey, we can play that game, too.' Other than that, the important thing was get

MLB best and worst teams, hot and not players
American LeagueBest team: The Toronto Blue Jays continue to get offensive production from unlikely sources. Second baseman Aaron Hill has a team-high eight home runs and 28 RBI. And light-hitting shortstop Marco Scutaro has shown surprising pop with five home runs and a team-high 31 runs.Rising: The Ron Washington watch is over for the Texas Rangers. They ran off five consecutive victories, with three coming on the road, to move into first place in the West. Starting pitchers recorded victories in four of the games, and Vicente Padilla was dominant in his no-decision.Falling: What happened to the starting pitching that was supposed to carry the Minnesota Twins? Kevin Slowey has four victories, but Francisco Liriano, Glen Perkins, Nick Blackburn and Scott Baker have combined for just five victories in 23 starts. That won’t get it done in a balanced Central.Worst team: The Cleveland Indians continue to make news for all the wrong reasons. Thursday night the Tribe helped Boston tie
