War’s not over for Martin, Cuban By EDDIE SEFKO The war of words between a billionaire owner and a millionaire player continues to simmer as the NBA playoffs move on. Denver power forward Kenyon Martin said over the weekend that Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was 'a coward' for apologizing to his mother through the internet rather than face to face for reportedly making disrespectful comments after Game 3 of the Mavericks’ second-round series with the denver nuggets in American Airlines Center. It was the latest salvo in a long-running give-and-take of both words and stance-taking between Cuban and Martin. After Game 3, Martin’s mother was seated near the exit that Cuban uses to leave the arena. Cuban has acknowledged saying 'that includes your son' about what some fans said to Lydia Moore, Martin’s mother, indicating that the Nuggets were 'thugs.' NBA commissioner David Stern had said that he wanted Cuban to respond in person to the situation involving Martin’s mother.
